In addition to my work with adults as parents and together with children, I also offer individual therapy for adults of all ages. As adults we sometimes become aware of destructive patterns that we seem to re-play and that do not feel helpful or satisfying. Often we are aware of these difficulties or "stuck points" that can play out in many forms such as anxiety, depression, social difficulties, relationship difficulties, aggression, eating disorders, addictive behaviours, low self esteem, obsessional behaviours, trauma related issues or a general feeling of dissatisfaction and unhappiness. Therapy can help to explore these unhelpful patterns and to help you to make the changes that you want to make in your life. At our first meeting we can think together about what you would like to be different and what has brought you to therapy. In keeping with the principles of Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy I believe that we all have the capacity to think and to make changes and encourage you to begin to relate to yourself in this way.
