Teenagers
Being a teenager is tough; pressures of school , navigating friendships, changing relationships with family members not to mention figuring out who you are/want to be, increasing expectations and responsibilities and managing the whole process of growing up. Is it any wonder that a growing number of teenagers seek out a space where they can talk through some of their worries and concerns? I offer a private space where you can do just this. Most of what you say can remain confidential with a few exceptions which we would discuss and agree on together. If you wanted your parents or someone who looks after you to be involved in sessions that would be ok too.....This is all about you!
Some of the difficulties that I have worked on with young people include depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self harm, bullying, body image, anger, bereavement, relationship difficulties, trauma, phobias, gender and sexuality and identity issues.
I know that it can be difficult, embarrassing, or maybe just 'a bit weird' to talk to someone you don't know at first though sometimes young people feel it is also an advantage, to talk to someone who is not a part of your everyday life, who will listen without judgement or telling you what to do!
